It’s Carnival time at Notting Hill!
The revelry is already under way in the streets of West London as the Notting Hill Carnival kicks off its first day of celebration today and The Jolly Boys are there for all the fanfare!

The carnival, which got started at around 9:00 am (BST) has so far seen scores of colourful floats on show down the route, featuring more than 40 static sound systems and while the sounds of the Caribbean permeate the air the food stalls are also providing a taste of the West Indies.

Notting Hill Carnival here we come!
West London are you ready? After having returned to their base in Port Antonio Jamaica for a short break after a stellar tour in the UK, which included some electrifying performances at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Bush Hall / Shepherds Bush, 100 Club and The Big Chill Festival, The Jolly Boys are now headed back your way!

You’ll have two days to see ‘the boys’ in live and living colour on the 29th and 30th of August as the streets come alive at Europe’s biggest street festival, the Notting Hill Carnival.
With an anticipated twenty miles of vibrant colourful costumes surrounding over 40 static sound systems, hundreds of Caribbean food stalls, over 40,000 volunteers and over 1 million Notting Hill carnival revellers, The Jolly Boys and their smooth, rhythmic modern mento beats will be sure to sway the crowds while adding that bit of nostalgia and Jamaican pizzazz to a setting that almost seems destined that they should be there.
